These are a pair of rustic sconces that I built for our bedroom. In searching for some new lighting for the bedroom, I kept seeing this style of sconce all over the internet. They seemed fairly simple, so decided to try recreating the style. The back of the sconce is made from a 1” x 6” pine board. Once construction was done, I stained the piece with a weathered grey stain. Then I attached the mason jar with a metal ribbon and 2 screws, with a third screw acting as a place for the jar to rest upon. The battery pack for the lights is hidden on the back of the sconces with the lights snaked through a hole just above the jar. Then my girlfriend picked the type of flowers that she wanted to rest in the jar. A saw-tooth picture hanger is attached at the top of the sconces to allow for easy hanging.
